It's unusual for vinyl to be installed in 5 star or 6 star Green Star projects in Australia.There is also a concern about offgassing and indoor air quality and many specifiers will not choose vinyl as an option. Vinyl has been banned from being used on vessels such as naval frigates in Australia and rubber is the preferred choice to protect crew from static electricity and shock.
